The final and last date for payment of Annual Subscription along with additional charges of Rs.1000/- is 30th June 2008.      The effective date of continuation of Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS)in the 11th Plan period will be from 1st April, 2007 to 31.3.2012      AEPC PARTICIPATES IN HONGKONG FASHION WEEK - SPRING/SUMMER 2009 WILL HELD FROM 8-11TH JULY 2008      Trade Show on June 11 – 13, 2008 - in Halifax - Huge possibility of not only business opportunities but also a possibility of stock and sale & distribution facilities       AEPC is conducting a Survey of Garment Industries to collect primary level information on the critical issues affecting the industry and address them in a better way. Questionnaire may be downloaded from the website ‘AEPC News’ section      ATDC Admission Notice: Applications are invited for 14 categories of courses which will commence in July 2008. Last Date to submit application is 6th June 2008 at any 43 centres of ATDC.

  ATDC -Academic Inputs
     
  ATDC – Industrial Training & Internship  
  ATDC imparts professional training on state-of-the-art machinery & equipments being currently used in garment manufacturing units.  
 
It uses all the modern training facilities through classroom teaching, best of faculty and the latest machinery & equipments including LCD projection systems. The students are imparted training on latest Computer Aided Designing (CAD) &Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) including Gerber, Tuka Tech software etc.
To meet its objectives, ATDC has tied up with technological partners such as Juki, Brother, Pegasus, Tuka Tech, Hewlett Packard. ATDC also engaged foreign consultants to impart training on industrial Engineering, Line Balancing, Production, Quality etc..
 
  Besides regular visits to apparel industry, as a part of course curriculum, the students are also sent to various Apparel Export industries for Industrial Training internship to have sufficient practical knowledge and exposure to the industry environment.
 
 
 
  Teaching Methodology  
 
Teaching at ATDC involves a cohesive, contextual & practical environment for students to learn. The emphasis is made to provide knowledge on the practical industry requirements involving industry participation actively apart from classroom academics.
 
  Campus Interviews & Placement  
 


All possible assistance is provided for suitable placement of the students after the completion of training programme. For this purpose, the Export Houses are invited for campus interviews for the selection of passed out students.

Majority of the students are absorbed by the industry through Campus interviews.

 
  Faculty
 
The Faculty members are professionally qualified with vast teaching experience in the field of Apparel Manufacturing Technology, Production & Quality Control techniques and Merchandising. They are well versed about the problems and challenges specifically faced by the Export Houses / Garment Industry in different departments. To deliver qualitative training,
ATDC has embarked on collaborations with similar institutions in countries like Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and the UK and has also signed MoUs, for overseas training of faculty, where by faculty are being sent overseas regularly to get fully trained in international institutes on the emerging technologies and in turn impart knowledge to students which ultimately results in development of apparel industry of the Country.
  Evaluation
 
The course curriculum and evaluation procedure is uniform for all ATDCs. The evaluation system is focused evaluate student’s knowledge, skill and encourage in self learning. Evaluation scheme includes presentation, project work, practical performance & written examination.
   
  Resource Centre
  All ATDC Recourse Centres are all equipped with latest books & periodicals pertaining to Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, Apparel Quality Control, and Garment Manufacturing. The audio-visual materials in CD, DVD’s, slides and videos primarily pertaining to garment manufacturing and other discipline are also available to facilitate students, faculties and industry.
