It includes all the aspects of production technology, pattern making, quality control as well as marketing & merchandising skills which are essentially required for an executive to equip him with the necessary knowledge & skills for handling production in garment factories. AMT diploma course includes project work to make student understand the trends and techniques of the Apparel Industry.

Course contents (Brief): The broad area of course deals with Textile Science, Apparel Production Technology, Apparel Production Practical, Pattern/Cutting, Merchandising, Quality Control, Productivity & EDP.

Knit Garment Manufacturing Technology (KGMT) - 1 year programme |

Like the woven garment the other important aspect of the industry is knitted garment, which is dealt in detail under one year diploma course in Knit Garment Manufacturing Technology. This has been designed to provide an extensive coverage on all aspects relating to manufacturing of knitted garments to meet the present day needs prevailing in the industry. The duration of the course is one year includes 2 semesters. The KGMT course includes pattern & production project work to create an awareness among students about the techniques used and trends of the knitted garment.

The course is aimed at training professionals in the textile and garment with in-depth knowledge to relate the technological requirements of fabrics in apparel as well as home textile industry. The focus is on textile design as well as textile technology in respect of machinery used in textile manufacturing and processing. Besides this input is also given on pattern making, stitching techniques of apparel and home textile.
